The more I research it, the more it depends on your phone....
For the I-Phone, looks like there is a toggle for "Geotagging" which you can turn on or off....
For newer Android phones, you might have a Geotagging option as well, but looks like there is an "advanced options" as well that you can turn it off before you reply on a post....
My phone, Samsung Moment, is a couple of years old, and it doesn't have any options at all, even if I wanted it to post my location....

I use geotagging AND foursquare, I need my minions to know my location at ALL times. Plus, my building has a doorman and security, so not worried.
