The best is RUSH opening the Time Machine tour.

My all time fav opening was Def Leppard in the round. 4 giant curtains up & they started playing Stagefright. And the curtains stayed. They kept playing it wtf? Then KAPOW! Curtains dropped & explosions ensued. FANTASTIC!

For VH I like the old ones with Romeo Delight. The spotlight hits a teeny tiny Eddie on a stage in front of 18 million people it seems. WTF? Then Dave lights up & does the splits thing off the drums. And away we go!!!!

Never fails, just get goosebumps watching EVH play that solo, it's like a fucking opera !!

Just compared to last tour, 4 brand new songs, plus the additions of Women in Love and Outta Love again for the first time in over 30 years ??

I mean, I dislike the clunkers like I'll Wait and Jump just like everyone else, but I really don't see all of this "uproar" over the setlist.....

I just could live without ever hearing Jump again as long as I live...

But I'm taking my wife who was born in 1984 to see Van Halen for the first time, so the set list is cool with me...

I loved that part in 2007. Plus a little extra Eddie tapping around while Dave danced before they did the chorus. Pooh. Dave did take some liberties in how he sang the song, but still sounded cool. I kinda like to hear it mixed up a bit. Just wish they bring back the extended break part as the shows go on.

Thats how they did it in 07. I think it's fine. I like the faster 1979 version better though.
