I'm a newb here and a VH fan , but I gotta be totally honest about this . That show was a complete train wreck . I was a dedicated Howard listener from his NBC days , blowing off classes to eat breakfast , smoke weed and listen to God . Then I tried to give Dave the same . I listened every day on my way home from work till I passed out at about 9 am . The show blew chunks . I think the only thing worse than the show was the horrible music he was playing in the background . I haven't bought a Dave CD at all , but if that's the crap he's pumpin out now , I'm glad I didn't . VH rocked , but Dave solo is a bomb . And that crap he was doin with the country VH remakes was just fuckin awful . For myself , I'm glad he's off the air . Not for nothin , but Dave and his fucking enormous ego need to fade away gracefully . The Vegas shit was bad enough . This radio show was every bit the cataclysmic failure that the Magic Hour was and Dave should be embarrassed . You can hoot all you want about how he needed time , CBS sucks , this an that ........ This show was cancelled because it sucked balls . It was NEVER going to get any decent ratings , it was NEVER going to attract any decent guests , and it was NEVER going to get any better . It's endning was an act of mercy . So long Dave , and here's to hoping you do the right thing and go quietly into the night .

PS ......... HOLY SHIT did he get old n ugly fast .

I think what they expected was someone who would do their bidding...which means they didn't do their homework...

in their eyes...they were getting Stern's attitude...without Stern's ratings...

and to boot...he was telling them to stick their ideas up their preverbial asses...
