LM, and as well as myself have lost loved ones in the past couple of years. It is stifling, and life depraving. If we respond with anger, vigor, despondence, who is to judge us? Loss is loss.
Yeah, he and I are both a pair of fucking dickheads. So is everyone else.

In our case, it was something that wasn't supposed to happen. Nobody saw it coming...it was completely life-shattering.
Either way, it's just awful. You go through therapy, life-analysis...try to figure it out.
And the best thing you can do is...accept there's a part of your life that will always suck and make the best of the rest of it.Roth Army Militia

Pretty much. In my situation, I had a meltdown after my brother, father and a close friend died within one calendar year. I lost everything: my marriage, my home, my job and was able to keep only the friends I'd known for decades.
I don't wish the experience on anyone.

Just awful, Chef.
It amazes me when I run into people now, Chef, that tell me how bad their year is going. Sometimes they're right on the money. Other times, they should be thankful.
We lost our only son in January 2013. It was sudden and brutal. I've spoken to some good folks here about the ordeal.
I already appreciated the sacredness of children...and we now have a daughter, just turned one. I cannot express to you how much I cherish every second she's breathing and happy. We simply cannot face that kind of pain again...and it never gets better for our boy.
So, without trying to put too much seriousness into an idiot poster's stupid moment...you simply don't talk about people's children like that. You have no idea how you might be affecting other people who've seen so much more in life.Roth Army Militia
