Got My Mo-jo Working by Preston Foster

I got my mojo working but it just won't work on you
I got my mojo working but it just won't work on you
I want to love you so till I don't know what to do

I got my black cat bones all pure and dry
got a four-leaf clover all hanging high
I got my mojo working but it just won't work on you
Oh, I want to love you so till I don't know what to do

Got my hoodoo ashes all around your bed
got my black snake boots underneath you head
I got my mojo working but it just won't work on you
Oh, I want to love you so till I don't know what to do

I got a gypsy woman giving me advice
got some red hot tips I have to keep on ice...

I got my rabbit's foot, I know it's working right
got your strand of hair, I keep it day and night...

(fun to bust this shit out on karaoke night )

          Dave would nail it!

I would love to hear him do "I'm Leaving You Woman" (before I Commit Some Crime)

Great thread! I agree. Dave has the perfect voice for a blues album. I just hope something comes from his end soon....i'm gettin' antsy!

Yes. Seems like just one cover album might be the kiss of death! Though I think he might get away with it if it were all live recordings.

I'd like to see Dave mix good classic party-like Rhythm and Blues with the attitude, excitement and riffs of rock 'n' roll. I think that would be very interesting.

I'd also like to see him guest on Jools Holland's next album. If Sting, George Harrisson, David Gilmour, Paul Weller, Eric Clapton and Stereophonics can do it-who is to say Dave can't?

Yes it would be great if he could come up with new stuff and sing some blues as well. He is voice is perfect for it.
