I have to admit there is a real sick part of me that longs to see Ed and especially Alex Van Halen get what's coming to them for the horrible way they've treated Dave over the last 2 decades.

Don't forget the way they have treated us the fans of this once great band. Don't know if I mentioned it before, but there was a time in the 80's and early 90-91 that I wholly bought the Van Hagar thing. My thinking was that it was VH even w/o Dave and thats what they wanted us to think. Well it was shit. The concerts were shit. The albums were shit. And by the time I saw them for the last time, I was hoping they would make a comeback of sorts and I proceeded to attend perhaps the shittiest concert I ever saw. It was the FUCK tour, and I was home after the show at 1100pm on a Saturday night for allegedly the best band in rock with tickets I paid the most I had ever paid for a show at that point.
It was that day I realized that I had been ripped off not only that night but in the years before as well. That's right ripped off.
I paid to see the best band in the world, I paid to hear the best hard rock CD and instead i got shit I got When It's Love and I got fuckin ripped off.
To all the Spam lovers out there you don't have a fuckin' clue. One day maybe 20 years from now, when people still play the classic VH someone will ask you who that is you can tell them that it is the real Van Halen. I guarantee all the other bullshit will be forgotten.

Forgiveness isn't the point, after seeing Dave a week ago at Casinorama live, I'm convinced that reuniting w/the VH Bros. would be a step down for him. Screw the reunion, Dave; and screw this idea of 'closure'. His new band plays VH & Vai to a 'T', they're not drunk, unappreciative, close-minded or selfish, and they KNOW who signs their paychecks....unlike the VH Bros.
