Nothing wrong with covers, when they are done right, IMO. I dig when its done as a tribute to the original. There are some killer songs just sitting on the shelf, begging to be re-made. Yezzah.

I love the way VH VanHalenized the tunes they covered.

And its fun to talk about. Its not like we can sit here and discuss the originals that Dave hasn't put out yet.

SAMMY destroys DAVE's songs live! Hell, he doesn't even bother singing most of them...he just hands 'em off to the audience like the piece-of-shit wanker he is. People pay to get in, and he still won't sing the songs they want to hear.

Have you read any of the reviews? It's the Dave songs that get the crowds riled up. I bet you $10 there's no standing ovation when the band kicks in to RUNAROUND (what a shit song).

As for singing live, Dave gives 'em the swagger and attitude they require. I was watching LARGO '82 the other night. Now that's a concert. And Dave is singing everything. Hell, I saw a vid of him from two years ago. And he's hitting the notes, jumping around and singing all the words. Sammy, meanwhile, has been singing flat. Dude is old. (He was born old.) And he always ruined Dave's songs anyway: "...got my ass against the record machine", "Jump on, jump on, jump on"...GOD, SHUT UP, CHED ROCKER!!!

Anyway, TONGUE-IN-ASS, you had a Day Pass yesterday. Yesterday is NOT today.
