You really are as stupid as you look. Firstly this tour has been played to no more that a handfull (at best) of sold out show's. How can you make much profit off that?

Secondly the average attendance for their tour was roughly 7 to 8 thousnad, with venues at less than 3/4 capacity. Again have you heard of Metallica/Chilli Pepper's taking savage financial hits?? No because they've either borke even or made a profit.

Now it's no secret that figures can be manipulated in order to appear better than they seem, which I would suspect to be the case here.

It's pretty easy to fill an arena with TWO headline acts on the same bill. I would expect Metallica/Peppers to not lose anything in every venue. It makes business sense. With Van Halen being as bad of businessmen as they are it's still pretty darn good to make it into the Top 10 on Pollstar....as proven by posters on this site.

Still only comes out to 7,000 - 8,000 per show. Not great for a "reunion" of one of America's biggest bands playing 10-12 thousand seat arenas.

Even if you take Bette Midler's $59,000,000/80 dates/$90 a ticket you get 8,194 tickets per show. Yeah I know they had to slash a lot of their $100 tickets due to lack of interest so maybe $90 is too high, but they didn't gross $59 million either.
