Why bother getting anyone but Dave to sing for Van Halen?

If Ed doesn't want to deal with Roth, he should just release instrumentals. Go the Jeff Beck/Steve Vai route.

Either that, or get another singer and call the band something other than Van Halen.

Van Halen, to me, will always be Roth, Ed & Al, and Mike.

Accept no substitutes.

If it's not Dave out front, Couldn't give a shit what Eddie does under the name 'Van Halen'.

This is the root of the cause as to why the legacy of Van Halen/Hagar will never attain the status of bands like Led Zeppelin and The Beatles who were true to themselves and their fans by calling it quits when 1 member of the equation was missing. 4 minus 1 is no longer 4.
