    Jon Stewart

Has anyone ever heard of this guy? He had a show on FOX I think, the Jon Stewart show.
Anyway he had Diamond Dave on their which I have on tape! I also have when Dana Carvey did an impression of DLR on SNL! That was the same show that EVH was on.
Also a studio session of Hot for teacher!

How or who do I send these to to ip load them??

I think the EVH/Saturday Night Live thing has been posted here.

Are you talking about the same Jon Stewart as on the Daily Show?

John Stewart was interviewing VH back in 95 and said "guys, I saw you in 1979 and you kicked ass!". Then Sammy said "I wasn't in the band back then", Stewart jokingly goes on to say the singer at the time sounding awful like a dog getting his ass grazed with a sheet of metal. Of course John was only joking and trying to please Sam.

I'd love to see Carvey as Roth, if you can do it.

Send the tape to Von Halen or Mr Walker. They'll upload it and send it back to you.

OK let me clear this up.
I've transfered the clips from vhs to my pc. I can convert them to avi, wmv or whatever.
The show I was talking about was on sometime after Dave got busted for weed.
What year was that, between 91-93? I don't remember?

And also Dinner with the Van Halens is the same show that Dana Carvey did the Dave impression.

The Jon Stewart show was on Mtv.

                        From 94, promoting YFLM.

Dave was on fire.... or somethin else lol.

                        He was very thin.

He didnt talk about the new octave, but he did say his dad told him he shoulda been a sailor instead of a singer cuz he was mutiny on the high C's.

                        I got it on video.

Dinner at the Van Halen's aired back in 1987 on Saturday Night Live. Val was the guest host, and Eddie made a cameo appearance playing on stage with GE Smith. The tune he played was called "Studio 8H" - named after the studio SNL is produced in. As far as Dana Carvey playing Dave - that was also in the episode as part of Dennis Miller's Weekend Update. Dennis was "interviewing" Dave - while he jumped on the bed and shaked his ass right into the camera lens. It was obviously meant to make Dave look like a hyper jackass, because Ed was on the show. I saw this when it originally aired - but Comedy Central ran it about 2 years ago when they had the broadcast rights to SNL reruns. Now E! has the SNL contract - so you might want to check their website to see if there's any episode info. Either way - it's sad to look back at that episode and see Eddie rock out and look so kick ass cool - as opposed to 18 years later and a shell of his former self.

I just ran across a VHS copy I have of a 1994 Jon Stewart Show with Van Hagar promoting Balance.

                              They played "Amsterdam". Fucking HORRIBLE.

The Bass Player with his "power mullet" and flannel shirt was hilarious.

Jon of course had to take a dig at Dave.

                              God they were terrible.
