What are The chances that homosexual sheep love Necroposting?
Originally posted by Nickdfresh Furthermore, Kurt Loder once wrote on his web blog that he "lays awake in bed at night and dewily strokes his little fireman when he thinks of the possibility of one day reporting a story on a Classic Van Halen reunion."
Oh thank you very much for that mental image. You've just ruined masturbation for me now. Is nothing sacred? LOL
Back on topic, can anyone look at Ed and not pity him and his family for what he's done to himself? The man is never going to get the help he needs because he has no desire to change. He's an absolute wreck and Dave is much better off staying far away. A reunion would be a huge disappointment and I think we all realize it.
Originally posted by Van Squalen Dave reuniting with VH would barely ripple on the public's radar, my fine feathered friend. It would, however, ripple OUR collective ponds, of course. The radio stations would hype it for maybe a month or so. A few hack former pseudo-metal types , like Dee Snider or Kip Winger, might offer a few sound bytes to VH1 or Kurt Loder on the breadth of Classic Van Halen reunited at long last. Maybe. Leading CNN stories...nah.
I disagree. It would ROCK the entire music community! It would be HUGE. Motley Crue is now going to tour and every one is psyched. But imagine if Dave was "back in".......it would be the biggest tour. I will guarantee it.
Classic Van Halen reuniting would be pretty big news, and would sell a lot of tickets. Might not saturate the media as much as Ashley Simpson, but CVH doesn't need that to pack people in there. There's still a huge audience out there (not just we faithful on this site) who'd shell out hard-earned coin to see that band, and would be willing to bet there's more out there who consider Roth as the only frontman for Van Halen than there are Eddie-grunts, who don't care who is singing (basically a vocal minority).
But have to agree that a reunion at any cost isn't what I want to see from these guys. An album's worth of new material preceeding would be essential, and not just a couple throwaway tracks on a Best Of (MWM and CGTSNM were a good starting point, as opposed to the three Van Hagar 2004 tracks, which sounded rushed).
EVH in top-form is also essential. Wouldn't want Roth and Ed to go out on the road without Al and Mike and call it Van Halen, but I'm not opposed to seeing Roth and Ed do something without those two either.
Agreed I'd hate to see Roth hook up with the rest of CVH if certain members aren't up for it and perform a substandard show just so we can all see them one more time; a live classic-era DVD would be preferrable to that.

Which makes me wonder, how does Dave figure into the ownership of the old material in terms of the rights? If Ed bit the big one, would Al inherit the anthology? What a joke that would be, since those were Dave and Ed's songs. Everyone knows it.

No doubt. Besides, all of us who wanted the reunion are so disgusted with the events that transpired since 96, it would be tainted from the start and that wouldn't be fair to Dave.
My bad, got a new puter and was having a problem getting back to the board. So I posted pretty much the same question asa this
There are those that do and those that don't. Those that didn't see what those that did had done and wish they had especially when "She looked so F#*kin GOOD"
