My advice to you is to get all the legal stuff taken care of so if the chick leaves you you won't be stuck in the same financial situation as your ex-wife left you in.
Put her in the situation where she will be responsible for providing support for the child as well.
Also, explain to your children about half-siblings. The part where your upcoming child is from the same father, but a different mother. Yet you don't love your children any less.

You've proven your point that DLR is the name Van Halen.

I would like to see a VH/DLR reunion just as much as anybody to experience those days one more time but I'm looking forward to the VH/SH reunion nonetheless.

Alrighty then... go to Links and graze with the sheep. Eddie isn't fucking Van Halen. Eddie isn't shit by himself, and VDIII proved that beyond any reasonable doubt.

A lot of the Van Hagar songs were shit. But at least they were properly constructed shit. VDIII was an hour of guitar wanking with a ballerina screeching in a fake Sammy voice over the whole thing. Eddie can't write songs, period.

There is nothing like the Classic VH of 1978 thru 1984, but it will never be the same again, even if DLR reunited with Eddie Van Heineken. If the Who, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin put out new material, it would never ever compare to their original catalog of music.

With that said, VH can reunite with Hagar, but whatever they write and play, it will never be considered "Classic" and will not be on the radio in 20 years(or maybe even now), so who really cares!!!!

VH will always be remember for the DLR era, not Hagar!!!

I agree with that. Reminds me of what Slash said about U2 in some book Danny Sugarman wrote about Guns N' Roses:

I agree classic VH were their own category. Van Hagar somewhat with certain bits and pieces.

Absolutely 100% correct my friend. How can anyone ask me to accept or like Hagar at this point when I NEVER have? His voice is worse than nails on a chalkboard to me and the "lyrics" and "melodies" that he "writes" aren't worthy to hang on the fridge next to my six year old's drawings.

I think it's ironic that Dave points out in his autobiography how Eddie got so pissed at him for frontin' at the MTV awards after the hits album. He didn't want to be reduced to a mere backup guitarist. However, that's exactly what having Hagar as the frontman does to him--makes him a backup guitarist.

I was a minor fan of Sammy's before he joined VH. He was always a B act, but a fun-loving one and still is. However, only about one in ten of his songs stands up to more than about ten listens. Classic, DLR VH still blows me away after years of listens. VH with Sammy sounds a hell of lot more like Montrose or VOA. It's really just Sammy with one hell of a backup band. They're totally Sammy-fied.

I've gotten to where on my iPod, I don't even categorize the few good Sammy VH songs (e.g., Finish What You Started, 5150, etc.) under VH. Only classic VH goes there. I list Sammy VH under "Hagar, Sammy." When I listen to the 20+ Sammy songs I keep from the last 34 years, the VH songs blend in perfectly with the rest of his work. They stick out like sore fucking thumbs with classic VH.

New Van Hagar is really just more of the Red Rocker. It's not VH at all.

Now I must download some boots.
