In all honesty? No. I don't like his singing or his songs, but I don't wish anything bad to happen to him. I, unlike a lot of others, don't totally fault Sammy for the state they ended up in. The guy was offered a job that he would have been stupid to refuse...I have no problem with that. Hell, I don't even have a problem with Ed and Al wanting to go on after Dave left. They shouldn't have called it Van Halen, but that point has been made.
Nobody said anything about anyone getting bulldozed.
Fifty One Shitty is in the basement, Jessie James Dupree said so.
It was more of a "shit, I think that house is in danger of being mudslid...we better run a bulldozer through it while that drunk dude is gone with his fat kid in the golf cart" type thing.
Like Firefighters gone wild or haywire or some shit.
When a person who is as gifted as Ed and who had all his dreams come true pisses it all away, nobody respects the situation he landed himself in. That's why we make fun of Ed. He fucked up. Boy did he ever fuck up!
But you know if the dude just came clean and said,"I fucked up! I need help! I'm getting Roth back in the band but I need the support of the fans and I'm going to do my best to play my best for you guys." Shit we would forgive and would be there to help Ed come back from the pit Sammy Hagar dug for him.
I'd fall down laughing. Ed would run out yelling, " I spilled my fuckin' 40! Godamn motherfucking godamn mexicans! I told my gardener Raul to clean my porch up.........or was that Mike?! BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
