Ah yes, I remember the cover of that album, the cannon and the fat guy.
The fat guy, was he supposed to symbolize the fans, or VH's career?Comment

I've just realised that I don't even know what the cover looks like.
That's one of the good things about living in Europe...
That and never hearing Right Now on the radio...Last edited by Seshmeister; 03-17-2005, 09:53 PM.Comment

I always thought the fat guy was a symbolic reference to Sammy.
(Shooting the fat fucker wit their first album since they split)
I did not see any symbolism in that cover, only an old photo probably outside of copyright period which they got to use free or real cheap!
Doesn't make any difference if it's out of print, since it did not sell there are shitloads sitting on the shelves. It's easier to find than the remastered fair warning or diver down for chrissakes!Originally posted by Kristy

Something very phallic about that cover. By the way, isn't that album out of print? Let's hope so.Comment

I 've always thought the same. Same as 5150: the strong man trying to lift and "carry" VH was supposedly Roth. Turn to the back cover, there's the strong man on the floor, fallen over and dead, with the cracked VH bauble released from the strong man's grip and rising like a phoenix to reveal the "true" VH.Originally posted by Panamark

The cover of VH3 shows the fat man ready and waiting to take on the power of the oncoming cannon ball, but turn it around and there's the fat guy, fallen over and conquered, and looking befuddled and beaten).
Whereas Eat 'Em just shows Dave being Dave - colorful, savage, ROCKIN'!!!
The only thing interesting about Van Halen without David Lee...is referencing Dave every step of the way.Comment
