Hey, I know that Dave played some shows in Western Canada in the summer, but he didn't play Toronto, a city where Van Halen has played every concert tour! Is Dave gonna do any shows in Toronto this year? I really want a chance to see him!

Hey guys, I hear ya. I'm in Montreal too and I've been waiting 17 years to see Dave again. I was fortunate to see him with VH in '84 and again in '86 with the EEAS tour. He's OVERDUE!

I'm in Kingston now, but I met him and Saw him in Edmonton this past summer. Wonders never ceased, he was fantastic.Stay frosty now.

I live about a 3 mile drive from Toronto, and Ive never been to see Dave live. Ever. I remember a few chances, advertisment wise, but never got the chance. I remember in '86 he was to play Canada's Wonderland and ending up losing his voice. Well, it was cool to see on the signs leading into the park saying "Dave will be lip-syncing tonight but giving you 100% of his body as David Lee Roth could do". And I thought that was the coolest thing I ever seen. You know, for a singer to come out and say "Hey, Im lipsyncing tonight".. Total honesty.

Your off on the year dude, in 86 he was on the EEAS tour and played Maple Leaf Gardens for 1 show, October 31 (I was there) and then again in 88 for Skyscraper (I was there), he didnt play Wonderland (Actually it was the Kingswood Music Theatre at Wonderland) until the ALAE tour in 91-92, I missed that show, but know a few friends who went and I dont recall anyone ever saying anything about Dave lip-syncing that show, I'm not saying that he didnt lip-sync, I dont know for sure, but I would be very surprised that I would have never heard about that......Originally posted by Big Troubles

As of right now Dave doesn't even have any tour Dates Schedule.
I don't know if he is going to tour this summer right now, the dates he had schedule he canceled.Comment

Actualy Im positive on the the incident of lip syncing. His face on the sign was painted like the EEAS tour, so my strong guess was 86/87. The sign read "Dave will be lip-syncing tonight but giving you 100% of his body as David Lee Roth could do". Also the the tab offered refunds in full for the show. So don't tell me what I did or didn't see, so don't tell me what I did or didn't read. The year might be off, but I assumed it was the EEAS tour since the sign had his face painted. I have an interview with him on Much Music from 91 where he talks about the shame in lip syncing a concert and the only shame was getting caught nowadays. (with laughter from all) So YES it did happen.
