I think Shoo Bop should've really been pushed as a single. That song rocked...

Yeah i agree 100% with you. shoo bop is an awesome tune. Even though its a steve miller tune it has that DLR cockiness and swagger.

It has that funky in your face attitude kind of like mean streets but not as heavy of course.

I have always said I love it, and always will. It turned my husband into a fan... something I couldn't do for 22 years! :D

It's different than anything on he radio, catchy, rocking guitar solo, killer DLR screams, and it's got plenty of 'tude. How could Magna Carta lose? You'd of thought rock radio, which is dying on the vine like Terri Schaivo, would be all over that song...

Oh well. It's our little gem. That's not so bad...

Which comes back to another issue i have brought up here before is the lack of promotion and marketing. There simply isnt any at all.

Any one of us Roth Army soldiers could do a better job 100% guaranteed.

Give us some promo and marketing money and some contacts and we will make it Fly.

When i use to work music retail i would always play CVH and Solo Roth during peak times and i would sell copies to the most unexpected people who would normaly not even give VH a second look when they saw the albums on the shelf.

I can play tunes geared towards a certain crowd. During summer months i would crakn up beautiful girls, dance the night away, Dancing in the streets, california girls, and it sold sold sold.

Not all of us have "tunnel vision"...

Right now I'm listening to Nat King Cole and burning it for a friend at work. I'm gonna listen to "The Ratpack" and Dean Martin's greatest hits after that. Musically I'm an open book. My taste is very eclectic with the exception being the "depression rock", teen pop, and unoriginal hip hop shit that is over exposed nowadays.

i dont think dave did this because he wanted to attract fans...

i think it was more of "i want to do whatever the fuck i want, and this is what i want to do" type thing.
                    Don't FUCK With Greatness...

                      Hey ! I resemble that remark !!!

On a serious note, Bad Habits (Which seems to be one of the
choice tracks) was a huge hit in Australia years ago by an
Aussie jazz singer. So its hard for me to shut out the original
version. I dont mind Dave doing the slower stuff (Secrets Rocks)
but Diamond Dave (As Bueno Bob said) you really need to be in
                      the mood for..

Proud of my Heavy Metal tunnel Vision ! :p

It is a great album. Just don't try to convince the VH fans who think Motley Crue has an ounce of talent.

VH was in a class all their own. Metal-heads try to claim them.

They never were in that category.

They were ROCK. Diamond Dave is rock.

                        What can you do?

Hey, anyone who thinks Motley Crue should even be mentioned in the same breathe as Van Halen is about as trustworthy as a rat in a
sinking ship. With the likes of Van Halen ignoring what the fans
want, bands like Priest and Motley Crue deserve props for giving
the fans what they want. I support these guys, I think its great !
Motley crue doesnt even have an ants piss drop in the ocean of
talent, that the original Van Halen did. But they earned my respect
by giving the fans (you know, us fuckers that made them rich ?)
                            what they wanted.

                            Fuck Van Hagar,

Its not really a Rock Rock album its more of a mixed bag album with Bluesy rock, Classic rock and some Jazz influences. I think at this point music is not a career for Dave but more like a hobby. So he will do what he feels like doing. He is living comfortably and does not need the money.

Maybe his next album will be all Jazz? Who knows?

Last I heard, it was only like 50-75K. That was probably 5 months ago. I beleive in the states you have to go to Amazon or Magna Carta's website to get it. Not sure about the online services.
