I've actually wondered if the three BOBW songs are the same three that Dave worked on with the sisters; its possible...songs CAN be ruined - case in point, what would happen if Van Hagar decided to go into the studio RIGHT NOW and re-record WACF or VHII with Hagar on vocals? Think about it.

It's a possibility. Never know for sure.

as we know from every musician who worked with DLR, dave can put brilliant lyrics and melody-lines over nearly every noise. that's what brings EVERY song - even the three BOBW-tunes - above everything hagar could do. I guess that they would sound totally different with dave's voice and melodies over it.

I think even Eddie say tha if he were to write his "Stairway to the Heaven" it would be with Sammy. In actual, they were on their way to completing a song the record executives were already being call it Van Halen's "Stairway to the Heaven" song, it would become their most famous and classic song. But Sammy got fired/quit the band not much later. I think the song was being calling "Between Us Two." The song got broke to the pieces, as Eddie used that song as a basis for "Year to the Day" and Sammy used some of that song for a song on his March to Mars album.
