I believe the theory that VH DID contact Dave to participate in the recent BOBW tour with Sammy, an idea which he vehemently rejected.

The sisters won't ever let Dave back in on Dave's terms and Dave ain't ever doing it any other way. Hence, no reunion.

Bottom Line: The Hagar tour was a complete an utter debacle, as evidenced by the throngs of empty seats. Ed, Al, (and Mike) were probably well aware that a tour with Dave would have been a financial windfall. That being said, I would surmise that any chances of a "real Van Halen reunion" would be based on whether the band abides by Dave's demands. Specifically, there would be NO chance that you'd see Dave debase himself and sing any of the Hagar crap. There are maybe 2-3 songs - AT MOST - from the Hagar era that Dave would sing. My doubt of a reunion stems from the fact that I think egos would clash as they ironed out the details.

Sammy's songs suck. Dave doesn't need to sing any of that crap. And, I'm certain that's one of the major issues that keeps the reunion from materializing. Dave has never objected to cover songs, but why should he start singing shitty ones?

Thanks for the info Carmine! I hope that happens, I am as always sceptical when I hear this but hopeful! To all the Sammy lovers, I ask where would Van Halen be without the CVH. Sammy would be workng the night shift at Blockbuster! I hope it will happen and probably will. Eddie also said he would never do a live album.... or a concert video woopsie!!!!!! Ben there done that! They will be inducted in the Hall of Fame next year probably, they need to get over all the bad shit going on and which is better will all be put to rest when Dave takes the stage. I heard Sammy has applied for this job...........
