The guy may be a drunk who is nasty and is probably standing in the way of Van Halen bring back David Lee Roth but I fucking love this guy.

He has given us so much good music and has inspired a generation of guitarist so in my books he deserves respect.

I will never forget the first time I heard Eruption on my brothers 8 track it blew me away..actually scared the shit out of me since I was only little.

Anyway thanks Eddie for so much good music and I really hope one day Van Halen is back together again so we can see you in a proper light once again

I gotta give up some love for Ed. Even though he's apparently not the person I thought he was, I still have to admit that he was/is the most amazing guitar player I have ever seen and he inspired me to pick up the axe.

Of course, much of this is the result of the fact that I just got the Largo '82 DVD on Friday, and I spent my weekend watching the show and being sucked back to a time when I was dangerously obsessed with the guy.

If you had a great rock band and got to tear it apart, alienate their fanbase, pour out shitty release after shitty release since the original line-up changed,plotted to stage a media event to make it seem the band was back together only to sell records...then you have to appreciate the way Ed operates!

I think he's a useless fuck that has watched the rock world change while he still noodles on a keyboard with power cheese lyrics screamed by a fatass wannabee liquor salesman from Mars!
