Ok My bad. It is like other people have said it is a preference. I think vocally sammy is better. But I will say I would rather see Dave kicking ass with the mighty VH anyday before sammy. Thsi is all I have to say. Dave is rock as far as I am concerned. But I do dig sammy in his own way.

The bigger issue I have with Sammy was when he would get a kid to sing Jump on the 5150 tour. Sammy joined a franchise when he joined Van Halen. This is as if he merged with McDonalds and said "we're not gonna make Big Macs and Quarter Pounders anymore because the old owner invented them". It's not a real good way to keep your clients. Halen did get lucky though, they held some of their fan base and picked up another one when Sammy joined. I just didn't like the disdain he held for the franchise that he was lucky enough to join.

What I really hate though is the way Sammy fans will rip on Gary. Let me get this straight Dave fans suck because they rip on Sammy for ruining their band and Sammy fans say thats unfair. But it's ok for Sammy fans to rip on Gary. I don't quite get that. Gary, unlike Sam, never said a bad word about Sammy and yet Sammy fans rip on him.

Not all Sammy fans rip on Gary. I am one of the few people on this board that probably liked VHIII. Gary was treated like shit and it wasn't just Sammy fans that gave him shit. And I am pretty sure Dave has said quite a few things about Sammy too. Lets not make Dave out to be a saint here. Another thing just to get this straight, Gary didn't ruin Van Hagar. Dave did, when they reunited for like three days to record MWM and CGTSNM.
