who the hell is that? vince neal or some other old guy who USED to be in a great band?
he had the chance..all he had to do was admit ed's greatness and importance in the band...and he wouldn't do it. And it's not even a lie...Ed is that great and that important to the band. quite frankly, Dave did this himself to all of you and all of us.
the only difference is that some of us choose to move forward and some of you choose to live in the bitter past.
c'mon, can't we all put aside the acrimony and celebrate that ed and the boys are going to be playing again? who cares who's singing. shit i saw them with Gary and it was still great!Comment

c'mon, i'd love to see dave with vh, and i have over the years, but he's not coming back. I'm sure it's been said ad infinitum, but accept it and move on.
let's face it, the reason you FIRST even heard of vh was for eddie. after that, you fell in love w/ dave, deservedly so. but, if you want to see new music from ed, let dave go. believe me, until all you people let him go, he can't move on himself.

and why would that be?
So, while you guys all sit at home listening to reo speedwagon, and flock of seagulls and any other PAST band, i'll be sitting there 15 ft away from the earth's greatest guitarist watching and listening to him shred. and if i close my eyes for a minute or two, i'll hear the band VAN HALEN jamming together.
