    I think that's a good point....

For all of those who say how much Al hates Dave, and that may indeed be true, those comments at the Loder interview and onstage sure sounded sincere to me.... If that's not an indication on where your bread is buttered best, I don't know what is....

It wasn't until after the shit hit the fan did Al do the 180....

Face it, both Mikey and Al were yucking it up with Dave during the show, once Ed made his irritation known, they did a sharp about face. Dave was just being Dave and the audience was eating it up. If Ed didn't want the hysteria, he never should have agreed to go on the show with Dave. He had to have known that people were going to freak!

        Good points guys.

Yeah, it seemed Al was actually having a good time with Dave on stage there.

It 'seemed' like classic times again with the band not taking themselves so seriously.

But it was Eddie who obviously knew that Gary was watching at home and was already the next singer.

Gotta give props to Mikey for not sitting with the brothers during that MTV interview. He probaly knew it was a shitty thing to do. Sad event in Van Halen history. I think that was really when the coffin was closed for good. Even when Dave left, there was always that hope, that someday. The MTV/reunion fiasco was so bad that it's hard to imagine them ever burying the hatchet.

I would agree if not for the 2000 recording sessions that Ed and Dave did. The talks that broke apart in 2001 and that Dave has said his management calls the VH camp every year to ask if they are ready to go. Someday...they will say YES!!

              There will always be hope!

If you ask me, all they should REALLY do is watch the footage of the Pink Floyd set at Live 8....

I got goosebumps when they started "Comfortably Numb"....

Look at the smiles and tears of joy from the fans....

Just pisses me off, egotistical bastards....
