you're so right...I guess that's why I still hear these classics on the radio every day...instead of RWTD or ATBL or Jump or...and if you once will read the great history of van halen in a book it will say... van halen the band that became famous with "poundcake"...

DavidLeeNatra...didn't you know it was all about opinion!!!!

      Yeah...opinion...

Remember in 1996...when Roth was back in...what everyone was fucking saying...in the Rock Industry (of course...their opinion shouldn't count...what would they know)...

It was like Sammy was NEVER THERE TO BEGIN WITH...

      lmfao...kinda like now...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

Seventh Seal...hahahahahahaha...was that one of the seven songs that started off with a helicopter sound...

        lol...Van Leppard...hahahahaha...

        what a joke...

or did it start with a fucking wind chime...like every song did on that album...

there's attitude...sounding like you walked into "Granny's old Time Wind Chime" store...

yeah...classic alright...like one of those turds you dropped in the commode that was a foot long and didn't break apart...

5150 sold on the success of previous albums.

every album sold progressively less once Hagar joined.

It doesn't matter how much they sell right off...all those albums got to number 1...which means they sold right out of the gate...

Classic VH didn't have to go #1...they just stood the test of time...and continued to sell...

not that that matters to Hagar...because according to him...he's sold 500 million albums with VH...

Not a chance in the world. I *like* about 4 Van Hagar songs (meaning I think they're good but not great): Summer Nights, the song 5150, A.F.U., Judgment Day.

None of them matches the attitude and the overall feeling of even the lesser Van HALEN songs.

in my opinion sammy was a poor replacement... in a band dedicated to livin large...... fast..... and loud!!

david went on to live up to that with his solo stuff. and even if you dont like the newer stuff it still holds up to his ideals....

i.e havin a damn good time..... and at near 50 he fuckin well is...

I can't even remember a song off of it.
