I saw Van Hagar just in time to witness the death rattle.

In other words, I never saw Van Halen.

At age 20, I've never seen Van Halen at all. I could have in '98, but opted out of the Cherone mess. I did see the Sam and Dave tour, and have always been a much bigger Dave fan. I am still going to this VH tour, simply because I have never seen them, and may never get a chance too again.

You know what, I have ears. I've listened to every note Edward Van Halen has released except for the live album where I listened to four songs and decided I had enough. I even listened to VHIII multiple times.

You've got it all twisted, Lou Baby. It's the 'Flower Power' generation of music devotees that are self-righteous about music, not the folks BORN in the 60s!

I wasn't born in the 18th century, but I know Mozart kicked ass musically. It's what people are willing to expose themselves to musically that counts.

I had tixs to Van Halen's Apr. '84 concert in Detroit, but they were confiscated by my aunt and destroyed. I broke punishment to get them and was on my way to Detroit when my 'escape' was ratted out by my cousin. That's as close as I got to seeing them live.
