Dave is more than the man but you understand why I think this is the Titanic for him. Not because Dave won't be funny on the radio (I heard his Boston gig, it was pretty damn good) but the shadow of Howard is too big to overcome.
If you are 30 or older, people know Dave...but ask the 18 to 25 demographic. While not the bread and butter of the radio industry, they do make up a huge chunk of the listening audience. Most of them do NOT know who Dave is...and if they do, they think of him as the "old guy" who used to sing in that Van something band.
Mezro...I still stand by my first prediction: off the air in less than 6 months...Got me a date with a shaved Asian. I know, I know; I think it's fucked!Comment

here you are calling people sheep, but you can't get your head out of your ass to realize whether Dave does radio or not HE'S NOT INTERETSED IN A NEW ALBUM RIGHT NOW.

Therefore, radio or not, there will be no new Dave music.

Then again, I've begun to wonder if Dave is a "stop-gap," temporary replacement (either wittingly or unwittingly) until they find someone else more into the comedic side of the business to take the slot permanently. I'd like to dare to dream that this is a temp job for Dave he may even use to publicize something else more musically inclined.Comment
