I think it is abad idea. Dave is hilarious and kick ass on stage. However, I dont know if his personailty is the kind that will go over day after day. I mean it is great to hav ethe MIghty Diamond One out there again. No doubt. If it bombs then it is a little hard for us as dave loyalists to see our hero made look like a fool.

I say good idea because Dave is again doing what he wants to do.

He knows the risks involved and is going for it! He's always been a risk taker and that what makes him very cool in my book.

It is going to be very tough following Stern and I'm proud that Dave has the balls to do this.

I am wishing the best for him and I think it will be interesting to see how he handles himself.

I think it's a bad idea because I feel he'll be made an ass of, or make an ass of himself.

I'm still pissed at his last album, what a pile of crap--and waste of my money.

It will be great to hear DLR everyday, but the fact of the matter is most of the stuff he says will be way over the heads of the rednecks who listen to him.

I'm selfish in the fact that I want to hear his music, not just his voice.

C'mon Dave, give me a break.

Considering I, like many others will never get to hear the show, I hate this idea. It is just going to give everybody a chance to call him washed up musically.

Good idea...bad idea...I give about as many shits as a grey banana on a wednesday but I would prefer a new album like every year for the rest of my life, so obviously this is gonna cut into his new albums so in that way it sucks....

on the other flip side of the left hand backed up into a semi truck i'd have to say if its gonna happen i'm gonna call up my grandma, or more likely try and find the station on the internet and get a webcast.

Does anybody know if this show is even a for sure thing yet? It looks like he has a few more live dates for November.

If he does do it, i'd like him to be billed as the new honorary guest host rock legend toastmaster king of rock'n'roll doin radio till his next album the one and only David Lee Roth.

Sounds good to me either way.

I would like an album instead for sure so i'm gonna vote bad idea for my tastes, good idea for exposure in the NYC Remix.
When you think of Van Halen you think of David Lee Roth.

                  Greg Kihn's a fag.

Back to the topic at hand.

BAD IDEA for DLR to do radio. I laid out my reasons in the "It's Official..." thread announcing confirmation of the show.

But, long story short, DLR is not enough in the mainstream, and radio programmers are so fucked up and hungry for "instant gratification" that they'll never give him time to be successful.

Love to see him succeed, but I have a bad feeling he's headed for an embarrassment.

A one-week fill-in stint in Boston is one thing. Carrying a show week in and week out is another.

thome, for once your post made sense.

I'm sure I'll listen to Dave, and enjoy it....just not as much as his music. Good point though.
