Since you're obviously new to this Van Halen thing, allow me to elaborate - the quality of Van Halen music went steeply downhill with Sammy Hagar at the mic. Songs were forgettable, radio friendly rubbish and lacked the drive, creativity and passion of earlier efforts with David Lee Roth. Had the classic Van Roth catalog been treated with the respect and dignity it deserves, and not just casually ignored or trashed at leisure by VH and Sammy Hagar...say, had Sammy come in with a "Brian Johnson" attitude about Van Halen and NOT a "Sammy Hagar" attitude, things might have been drastically different. But by drawing battle lines in 1986, they were drawn forever between camps Roth and camp Sheep.

That, and the fact that Sammy packs fudge mostly explains our common dislike of all things Cabo Wabo and Jimmy Buffet.
