The last rumour that heard floating from Dave Roth was he was interested in doing a "talk album" ala Henry Rollins. You know, I'd like a good rocker again myself from Dave, like EEAS or YFLM, but hey I'll take a recording of Dave taking a shit if it was done right. :D

Just for the record, "Let It All Hang Out" was first a hit by The Hombres back in the 60's.

Along the same lines, I've always thought Dave should cover Mongo Jerry's "In The Summertime"... seems a perfect fit, and I think would have charted at one time, perhaps still given the songs novelty, yet timeless appeal.

I am just curious about what he will do next. He always has something going on. My prefence would be for something original though. I understand your comment that at this point he can do whatever he wants, but I disagree. I think with all the ideas, the creativity, the genius, the experiences he has and has had-it is time to put out nothing but 100 % Dave originality.

:D Last I heard about Dave he was finishing up another book and wanting to do a Henry Rollins type cd. Mostly talk set to music.
I'd rather some original rock though.
Let it All Hang out was a good choice, but I would've liked him to do something from Peter Gabriel or have more soul like Stevie Wonder or James Brown. Dave's got a lot of soul and funk him just waiting to come out.
