Dave can perform live. I saw him a couple of months ago and it was the best performance i've ever seen. When David Lee Roth was with Van Halen, they reached the top of the ladder. Dave left, and they dropped to the bottom. Van Halen then put their foot on the bottom step of the ladder again, got Sammy to join them and worked their way down from there. There's nothing better than the original in anything - films etc - and this is no exception.

I love Eddie, Alex, Mike, Sammy, and can even TOLERATE Gary Cherone, but I'd sooner kill myself than see Van Halen ruin what they created by bringing David Lee Roth back.

Van Halen wasgood because of Eddie, the original David Lee Roth band was good because of Steve Vai (although Yankee Rose is a great song). When Vai left, so did David's career. Sammy agreed to tour with Dave for money and to have people know once and for all who is best, and Dave agreed to tour with Sammy because he's a a sad, lonely man.

If you guys miss Dave so much, put on some old David Lee videos, and do as the man says: "reach down.....between my legs....and eaaaase the seatback...."

Funny, I have not heard one Sammy era song promoting this tour. The stations here are playing the Roth era songs to intro the tour and contest to win tickets.
