I'm an old VH/DLR era fan who doesn't hate Sammy Hagar because he's a great singer, musician & performer in his own right while Eddie & Sammy compliment each other well onstage as in the classic concert video Live Without A Net which defines that era even though I would like to see Eddie & Dave onstage one more time!!!

Am apathetic toward Sam's music. Does nothing for me. Same goes for most of Sam Halen, save for a few tunes where a spark of the old fire on an instrumental end surfaces.
Sammy is just plain funny when you get right down to it. Has to fabricate and inflate Van Hagar record sales in order to make the situation seem like anything other than it is: Sammy is the first guy who flopped in the lead singer slot after Roth left.
Everytime he opens his mouth and tries to tarnish the classic Van Halen legacy by implying that Roth was nothing more than a showman for Van Halen, and thereby give Sam Halen legitimacy, he comes off as deluded on top of being talentless.
Ed, Mike, Sam and Alex had no balls as a unit to begin with by sticking with the name Van Halen, and most of Van Hagar's sales were inherited.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment
