David Lee Roth (Infinity) - Wow, with all the expectation and hype that was given to the ex-Van Halen vocalist, his morning show is a monumental disaster.
While it wasn't much of a secret that David Lee Roth was a bit of an eccentric prior to his arrival behind the microphone, I don't think anyone could have assumed that he would be this much of a lunatic once he got on. Surrounded by yes men who do little more than praise Dave for his every ridiculous though, Roth babbles on and on about nothing every morning, all morning. Add to that the ridiculous fusion music which goes up and down every time he takes a breath, and you get one tough listening experience.
Another real sticking point too is his never-ending use of the Van Halen name to try to get attention or keep people from tuning out. Roth hasn't been in Van Halen, sans a very, very brief revisit for 2 songs, in 20 years. Yet Van Halen stories from 25 years ago, as well discussion regarding his "impending" return to the band, are frequent on this show. The bottom line here is that this show will be the first to have the axe dropped on it.
At $4,000,000 a year for Roth, don't expect them to wait too much longer to end this horrific show.
