Edward needs a challenge to motivate him, to justify his existence anymore. But he's so bruised and beaten emotionally, with the divorce, cancer and hip replacement.. he's facing his own mortality and drowning his sorrows in really bad 7 dollar bottles of wine.

He's content to sit in his studio noodling on the guitar, surrounding himself with yes men, and still thinking he's at the top of his game but in reality he hasn't put out anything worthwhile in 20 plus years.

The guy is damaged goods. He needs a lot more than an intervention.. he needs a complete personality transplant.

I don't expect a reunion to happen due to the egos involved, someone will need to be neutered. And that makes for bad Rock and Roll.
