I'm going to say this...I'll bet you it was a little bit of both of what these guys are saying...

somewhere in between getting shitcanned....and quitting...

probably one of those...don't call me...I won't call you kind of deals...

long and the short of it is that VHalen died that very day that both decided not to call each other..'96 notwithstanding...

of course...they were never a band in 1996...just a bunch of liars trying to capitalize on their fans...

god...how that doesn't piss people off enough to close the door on VH forever...with Hagar...
That is one of the most brilliant posts I've ever read here.

Total unabashed reality in every word of it.

so again you prove that you don't know shit about music or making a record...back in 1986 you did RECORDS not CD's and if you put too much music on a RECORD which means minutes then you lose a lot of the bass-frequenzies and a lot of the big-rock-sound...that's why a lot of =VH= records are just around 35 minutes long...when it came to CD's dave's albums became longer, too...

no facts there to support this whatsoever. C'mon guys let's keep this as real as possible. Dave has been careful with money, not hungry for it.

no he's been careful. not hungry. Ive never read anywhere that indicates Dave was broke or hungry for cash. Lawsuits dont count. People that are rich sue people too, so theres no point of debate there. I doubt Dave is wealthy beyond means, but I seriously doubt he's looking in the want ads for work either.

I'll have to remember that when I listen to my Led Zep, Black Sabbath and Aerosmith CDs.
Nice try your point is just not true.
Available time on a CD and the CD's fidelity have nothing to do with each other.

Sorry you've made a very poor arguement once again.

So has anyone associated with VH except maybe Alex with all the alimony he has to pay.

None of those guys need money!!

When Warner Brothers remastered the catalogue and rereleased it the band's publishing rights got paid all over again..

                      Hina has left.

Yep. Back in the day, they required really no more than 10 songs, but no less than 7 for it to be a full album. I just listened to EEAS last night. Dave makes the covers his own, so who really gives a shit? That album just fucking flows. But for that guy to elude to EEAS not being creative enough, Jesus, what copy of that album did he listen to? I find something new I like about it with every listen.
I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...

Actualy its a slow week at BT's house. I think Im suffering the worst cold this side of the fucking bird flu.

Anyways, Im guessing, that when you refer to your Black Sabbath, Led Zep you are talking about double LP's? I have a Scorpions album from I believe self titled, and it just sucks. Its a single LP with no singing on it, and runs over 45 mins. There is a huge difference between CD's and LP's Hina.

lol could also mean Laugh out Lightly. :D

The truth is albums in 80's and 90's weren't pumped out filled with 20 songs because that wasn't the standard format. Most times an album or even a CD would carry 10 to 15 at the most.

Maybe Dave's next CD should be a remastered Live show from his UK/Japan tour? Hey if VH can put out shit and BOV's every few years why can't Dave?
