The 2004 was pretty awful...Sammy aside. Ed wasn't even playing the right song half the time, was totally uninterested with the audience, and had zero chemistry with any of the band members. The whole time I had a strong feeling that this was it, the last show I would ever see. As we were walking through the casino at Mandalay Bay, I was telling my wife that it was over. It really was. I was very dissapointed and sad. It was like watching my best friend up there. I kept thinking that maybe it was an off night for them. They did play a ton of shows. But then I started to read reviews from other shows, and I wasn't the only one who felt that way. Eddie still has the talent, but he doesn't have the fire in him anymore.
