I have to admit, that was my "What the FUCK, Dave???" moment as well. And I watch the "No Holds BBQ" even now, and I still don't get it. And I'll admit to being a little disappointed after a 5 year wait, to find that the "Diamond Dave" album was mostly covers. Some damn good covers, of course. But I can't say I'm not disappointed that we didn't get an album out of originals from the stellar Dave/Brian/Toshi/James/Ray lineup.

But if that's all I got to bitch about in the last 28 years, I guess that's a pretty damn good track record.

Make a seperate place for porn. I love the porn, but that's almost all there is in there now. Hard to find the cool rare pics of old VH and Roth. Especially any newbies that come along and want to see some old pics and all they find is the wonderful work of the_Kid. I'll bet some of the ladies are tired of browsing through it to get to their pictures of Dave as well.

If I could change one thing about the Army...? Hmm...

Well, I have a couple of pet peeves and some of it has been covered by ya, Pojo. And I could point people out, but I would really hate to.

It's hard to get rid of, as far as I can think of, but things like people who make threads and then reply 5-7 times themselves, 3 to 5 word replies before anyone else does. And one person my reply and then they feel the need to babble 3 to 5 words each 8 posts afterwards. There's one person who does that, and I can go check on Non and they'll be the last person on each thread. It's very Denny-ish. So much so that I've wondered often if it's someone's alias. Not his, but someone else from here.

The other pet peevers are the ones who post something totally off the wall in the middle of a conversation, going off about something no one cares about. And I don't mean a side conversation that naturally progresses in a thread. I mean totally off the wall, random comments. And what's worse is when you get 2 or 3 people all into it and they kill the thread. Then you have the necroposters who bump up insane threads, most often fight threads, to get the vultures circling or to post that comeback they've been dwelling on for 4 months.

Or, my absolute fave, the people who stalk your every move on the board and then sign-in and pounce on you that they "were happening to check up on you" and start some fight because you made some distant reference to them. And I'm not talking about someone most are probably thinking of. FORD prob knows. Man, that irked me and I shouldn't admit it because he'll sign in and go on about how I'm talking about him again and revel in the irkness; but honestly, if I wanted to be stalked I have my aunt next door for that. I don't need wackos going after me because they don't like something about me on the internet. And sad thing is, it's more than one person quietly stalking people while not signed-in. And what's even sadder is that these are middle-aged men and women.

If I ever get that way, I give FORD, Elvis, Pojo, or AL permission to shoot me.

Pojo, this just occurred to me. Maybe a new "YouTube" forum. I'm finding some great threads here that start with a YouTube embedded video. Be nice if they weren't scattered all through the forums. There may be too many forums already, so maybe the download forum?

How about a little consistency in the moderating? I started a thread about Mike's songwriting credits disappearing on the SWTD cd and it was immediately shipped to VH/DLR Albums as "not main material" and I shouldn't have posted my "2 minute brainstorm" and now there's a 2 page thread in main about it. It wasn't about the albums, it was about the fucked up situation in VH and what they are doing to each other. First Dave found out he was getting less money than everyone else, and now Mike's getting the shaft.

Why the fuck should anyone bother to try if it's a crapshoot?

Other than that, I'd love to see the old army back, but without hitch and the old crew, lightning can't really strike twice. I'd love to see it, but the electricity just isn't in the air without the prospects of the reunion that was building in that time. We were all wired up and ready to go. Now, it's anti-climactic.

But man, I sure hope to hell your plan works...
