Hello folks,
I am not a veteran here like alot of you and I have not contributed much, however, I have news that I can garantee is not bull shit. Alot of rumors have been presented here that I question, just like everyone else. What I am about to say may mean nothing but I thought you should all know..So here goes...

I live in a small city in Canada in which I have participated in several music activities and worked alot with the local recording company we have here. Through this company I have met several acomplished musicians and worked with a number of them. One man I have met was a man named Chris. I do not know his last name but he is a incredible bass player. About 2 weeks ago his band broke up for one reason. Chris was on his way to work with Edward Van Halen.

This is 100 percent confirmed. Chris left yesterday morning and boarded a plane to L.A. in which upon arival will be taken to eddies studio by edwards girl friend.

I know im gonna get shit on by some of you for this and I really dont give a shit. I have better things to do than waste my time spreading bull shit about a guitar player I have lost alot of respect for. Take it as you will. I really could give two shits if some of you think im lying. I had heard this yesterday from chris and he would not lie about this to me. I was their when he boarded his plane. A contract was signed and he is off to do something with Eddie.

I have no clue why he is at 5150 right now. I do not know what is going on. He was not allowed to tell me. I do however, assure you that this is not bull shit.

Take it as you will people. If you think im lying then go fuck yourself. I know what im talking about. I thought I would share this news with you all whether it means anything to you or not. If you dont beleive me then thats your choice. It wont affect me because I know what im talking about.

Maybe WB wants "Chris" to lay down the bass lines for the "three new songs" so they (WB) can actually release BOV2 during the first leg of the tour and complete the fucking shit? Because Ed definitely wouldn't want M.A. to play anything on record and Ed is obviously so nuts at this point that maybe the powers that be have to intervene? Hell, he's been pulling that shit for years and we all know M.A. is only on salary as the touring bassist.

Could have some validity to it?

Max you serious about what you said about MA and Ed not want him to play anything on the record. Why???? Is it a well known fact that MA didnt do his own bass through the first 6 albums??? I have heard nothing like this. Yeah people talk shit about Mike but i thought he did the bass.

For sure, I am in the dark on why he is their. Chris has worked with other talents before like Bryan Adams and Colin James. By the way, I appologize to all of you for not supplying the last name but I really dont know. This guy was not a "buddy" of mine. Just someone I had talked to off and on and jammed with once or twice. He told the entire company what he was doing. He didnt say why because he said he couldnt reveal it. But he gave details about Eddies girl friend pickin him up in LA and that he would be working with eddie.

What up bro? What I'm implying is that it's been very well rumored that Ed kind of took over a lot of the bass duties on record as far back as Fair Warning. I don't know what is true or not? I do know that M.A. is not anywhere even with his signature backing vocals on that shitpile VH3.

Dude, everything you have said is truly plausible and believable. Shit, who knew that Steve Lukather from Toto sang so much background vocals on Van Hagar until recently? Now that is confirmed and well known. I can fully see WB sending the right people in there to try to make heads or tails of Ed's "Ten Albums" that he's had ready to go for ten years.

Were you the one that liked VHIII with Gary. I read a thread last night about someone only likes CVH and said GC VH3 is the 7th vh cd. He said he liked it. Maybe it was DLR_engineroom.

Any way did you get to read that chapter on Henry Rollins on this site.

The fact is that their is alot that goes on at 5150 or any other studio for that matter that we have no clue about. Im just glad I was lucky enough to get a bit of it and share what I know with all of you.

Hell no!!! It wasn't me. I remember buying that thing and giving it a chance cos Spam wasn't on it. Fucking beyond horrible!!!! That cannot be called a VH record cos it's the worst. However, the singing on that pile was still better than anything The Chedd Rocker has ever put on tape! LOL!

I'll go read the Henry Rollins stuff now.

About 3 weeks ago I had Dave's flight number when he was coming into LAX. Dave was on a Wednessday night flight and it landing in LAX
at 11 pm.

Thats why I asked 3 weeks ago in a thread who lives in los angeles.
I get the info from my friend that is in the autograph signing business.
He has owned his own business for 25 years. Anyway I did not go with him that night. He got Roth's signature and came over the next day to show it to me and I scanned it and put it up on the dlrarmy mesage boards.


I have been with him before to get Dave several times.
