It doesn't seem logical that Eddie (who, granted, isn't known for being logical) would fly in a session guy to play bass on 2 or 3 tracks for a Van Hagar greatest hits album. It's not like Van Hagar songs aren't all overdubbed to death anyway. Eddie could play the shit himself. Or Hagar could, for that matter.

The fact is I knew people here would shit all over this. Why was I at the airport? because I gave him a ride there. Instead of taking a taxi he went with me. I dont know the guy's last name cuz I am not his buddy. I dont know him very well. I knew him cuz he came into the studio to lay down tracks every once and awhile and I jammed with him in their once or twice.

He was currently laying down a bass line for a band named "The Vagiants" and he came into work to tell them he couldnt anymore. He said he signed a contract and was to meet ed as soon as possible. The next day he came into work to say goodbye to the people he was close to and then leave. He was about to call a taxi but then I offered him a ride since I was on my break.

While in the car the only thing he told me was Ed's Girl friend was picking him up at the airport in LA. That is ALL I heard guys.

Like I said, accuse me of starting shit all you want, I dont care. Im not here to stir things up. This could mean nothing. It might not even be a big deal. I just reported what I know. If you dont believe it then thats your choice.

Yes, it is absolutely true about Chris. He has been recording the bass parts for Van Halen for years. Additionally, Gary Cherone joined VH after Chris forced Extreme to break up. Although I don't know his last name, and only jammed with him, I can also guarantee to you that Canadian Chris personally supervised all of the torturing of Iraqi prisoners and he drank the last half gallon of milk in my refrigerator without replacing it.

K cuz some of you fucks were laggin on me I TRIED to get some more information on why this is happening. First off I found out the guys last name from work: Chris Marshan. Anyways I talked to some people at work to see if I could get in contact with one of chrises former band mates. Like I said before, he broke up his band to go see eddie for this. I found a man named dave holman who was the guitar player of the band. He told me the following...

Chris is good friends with eddies current girl friend. They have been for some time. I guess Chris has family in LA and he met this girl down their and has know her for some time. She gave word to eddie that Chris was an amazing bass player and loved eddies work and eddie told him to "come down to LA" and jam. That was a month ago.
then eddie called him down a week ago cuz he needed someone right away. A contract was signed and he was off the next day. Thats all folks, thats everything I know.

And please for the love of god, if this thread is just gonnna be shit over and no one is gonna give me some kind of credit then just close the thread down. Im not here to start rumours. I have more respect for the people here than that.

and he played the drums for a well know band, too...there he named himself peter "chris" and when the band leader found out that he wanted to replace him as the bass player he fired him and called eric singer who is not a singer but a drummer...
