I like to think of it as, forgive me if this is the wrong terminology, brotherly support.
Look, when the DLRarmy domain went down as well as Roth Army down at times, people went over to DDLR. It was like the home away from home. I was more active at Vaughn's when the original DLRarmy domain went down.
Now it's like, not exactly repaying back the favor, but now helping your brother out who helped you.
DDLR is currently down, so their members will come over here.
I probably shouldn't have used the word "repayment" because it's not that nor "payback". It's simply the same user names, we all knowing one another, posting at a different URL link.
Don't bring money issues into this. Without Vaughn after DLRarmy going down, would the community still be kept alive and as strong as before?
I respect Vaughn, Sesh, Twona, and every staff who kept DDLR going when the Army has been down at times... and I respect DDLR members posting over here while Vaughn and whoever else needs to take care of whatever needs to be taken care of.
That all being said, I respect the webbies and other staff here who provide a place for DDLR to hang out.

EDITED TO ADD: Didn't a webbie PM me once saying DLRarmy formed as a bunch of people coming from the Links? I respect Brett, and his crew as well.

Fuck this secrecy shit it's about time this was discussed openly before both sites disappear.
It's not about money but that's a factor for all of us running websites.
The fucking crux of it is Roth and his management.
For years now Sarge and the Army have had absolutely no fucking support, encouragement or cooperation from Roth Ltd. who have if anything been obstructive. For the last few years at DDLR we had a good relationship with them in particular Ray Luzier who is a great guy and that was the main reason we kept going when the Army came back up.
Ray has now left of course.
This has now been aggravated because Brian has taken issue with a post which we can't even fucking find where he says he was criticised unfairly for doing something that was actually done by Dave's previous guitarist Bart Walsh.
Firstly what the fuck are we meant to do delete posts that are bullshit?
Secondly Brian doesn't tell us what post it is or tell us how to respond to it. If you can find this post win a prize, I'll send you a personalised pick from Brian.
So Dave is now telling Brian not to go to our website any more.
Whatever. Dave's the expert that can't even work a fucking browser...
I get the impression that Sarge is very bored with this shit and fed up and we are too. Roth and his management can't even get their fucking act together enough to list their gigs on their official site.
Instead we have people going to Toshi's site trying to work out from the Japanese when the gigs are and then post them. Dave's manager Matt Scienco wanted to shut us down a couple of years back for having bootleg downloads until the band told him to stop being so fucking stupid.
This is the crap we have to deal with on a weekly basis and that's why we're getting sick of this shit.
Sarge and in particular Von were the most insanely hardcore CVH/Roth fans you could ever imagine and even they are sick of dealing with these people.
I could get the DDLR site back up in 30 seconds but at the moment I'm undecided....
