WTF. Gone TWO days and my home page has been bombed. And I'm so fucking pathetic I forgot about this place's existance!

There's not a lot left to say. Von's been disgusted with many aspects of running DDLR for some time. And everybody seems to be ignoring his second post in this thread where he explains a little more thoroughly what really happened with Brian, which sounds like a little flare up which then went away. I'm guessing that the whole thing is just the straw that broke the camel's back.

It just comes down to gratitude. Gratitude from many places which just isn't there, and from places it OUGHT to be there from. If you spent your own money, busted your nuts and truly had a passion for something and people took issue and complained, wouldn't you quit spending the money? Getting a little
shit from posters, a lot shit from spammers and no notice or recognition from the very subject of the board?

Dave isn't dissing these sites. From what Von posted, it looks like he simply was reacting to Brian getting worked up about some idiot post with his own method for dealing with asshole fans on the internet - don't go there if it upsets you. It's worked for him - don't listen to your own press. Seems to work for Eddie and Alex too.

All this is about is a handful of good people who are simply burnt out. If it has to go, then just wish them well and say thanks. The only thing that I can't live without are the friends I've made there, and there are many avenues to reach them, including this site.

Who knows, maybe we'll all be forced to drag our asses into the 2000's and listen to some new music.

it's funny...the downloads are generally things that they want taken down...like it's taking money out of anyone's pocket at this point...

IMO...if someone can't fucking handle the fact that they are criticized a few times out of hundreds and hundreds of fucking threads...makes me want to fucking go out of my mind...

How do you think fans of the Original Recipe Roth feel when they complain as I have done on DDLR about how much sucktitude Ice Cream Man Acoustic Flavor sucks the suck out of the most-sucked sucky shit after hearing that one?

Pardon my french. That was another criticism on how much Roth sucks right now at this time because he neither heavy nor is he metal enough for me to give a shit this year.

And B Young I will always, ALWAYS support even if he is shitting in with the shittiest self-defeating shit because a) I know he's one of LA's most talented b)he's holding back or being asked to hold the flash and c) he's doing Roth a favor for sticking on with him, whatever the pay is.
