I purchased one (1) copy of 5150. I have purchased 1984 seven (7) times. On vinyl, cassette (twice, 1 melted in my car), cd 4 times (1 was stolen, 1 was scratched up too bad, and 1 when it was remastered).

Same story for pretty much all of the six-pack. Several copies of each have been purchased over the years. VH I on 8-track even.

Van Hagar has received money for one copy of each album. Van Halen 3 did not receive any money because I returned the cd and got my money back. (Although that probably still counted in the sales totals for them).

Are you people stupid? The CD's sold are counted of what you bought. It's off what the retail stores buy. If they buy 50 Van Halen CD's then sell them. Thats 50 sold for Van Halen. It's not like Van Halen is directly selling you the CD. There selling the stores the CD. Then the stores buy more if they sell out. Etc...

        Use your head.

And Van Hagar had a big fallowing in the early 90's and I wouldnt doubt if they sold more then Van Halen.

Van Hagar did NOT sell more. What Hagar means, I think, is that more albums bearing the VH name were sold while he was in the band (99% sure that's true), but that INCLUDES CVH albums that continued to sell long after Dave left the band (and still do). So, according to his twisted logic, that means Van Halen sold more albums with him. It's technically correct, but very misleading because it implies his era of Van Halen sold more albums. That is just not true.

To put it simply and clearly, in terms that even Sammy Hagar could NOT argue with: The Van Halen albums that feature David Lee Roth as the lead vocalist have collectively sold more copies than those featuring Sammy Hagar as the lead vocalist.

I'm not even going to bother posting sales figures because they've been posted dozens of times. If ever in doubt, refer to that statement in bold.

              Dylan,

When school starts up again in September (assuming you're not attending summer classes), have your Special Ed. teacher help you to figure out how to log onto Van Halen's official website, and figure out the sales numbers of each CD. You can then add up each CD and divide them into categories and figure out who sold more: Van Halen or Van Hagar...

This should make for a great real world math exercise for you, since you appear a little "slow" at grasping the obvious.

Man, that rap is so old you might as well be bustin' knock knock jokes. And speaking of knock knock, that's what my balls were doing on YER MAMA'S chin last night.

Another thing I don't know the money situation of the people who keep these boards running The Army, DDLR etc. I'm assuming they don't have Van Halens money.Anyway can't they update their board?Even though there's nothing to update they should do it anyhow. If there not makin Music anymore have something for the fans to check out.If they don't want to update it take it off the Fuckin Net...Even Spam updates his site.

If you disregard the intentional spelling errors, and ass-fucked agenda in the rest of it, it's actually a telling post.
