I like him for those things and the music he helped create. Hell, without some of those tunes or his antics, history would be altered.
"FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKIN' BITCH! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ANYWAYS? TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? FUCK YOU. DRAG QUEEN LOOKIN' WHORE- YOU AINT SHIT. YOUR THE FRECKLE TO THE LEFT OF MY BROWN EYE. NOW GO MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL...OH, PUT DAD ON THE PHONE"

Pop Diamond Dave in and the sun does come up. Excellent interview. The old sayin "full of piss & vinegar" could not apply more to another person than Eddie Van Halen. Unfortunately for Eddie, on his death bed, he will have many regrets.

          Fuckin fantastic interview!

Thought the stuff about the Van Halen's being in a different place, a darker one, was paricuarly inciteful...

          Good find Elvis!

one of the best DLR interviews made and certainly one of the last few as Diamond Dave.
The man looked and sounded kick ass.

Us finns have some very good reporters.

Once, Russell Crowe arrived hours late to his interview, and this finnish guy started blaming Russell for being an ignorant prick who shouldn't think he can treat the way he wants...uhuhuhu...that interview was over quickly.

This show, where this interview was made, isn't on air anymore but it really had some grate, intependent stuff and loads of live performances every week, good interviews and a chance for young bands to introduce themselves...like THE ANTI-MTV...naturally it isn't on air anymore...uhuhuhuhuhuhu

Dave looks beat in this video, his skin looks like leather, and his hair looks like trash, it is too thin, and combed over from one side of his head, to another!

Hard to believe this was 10 summers ago...
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

I like that interview alot even if I can see through some of the bullshit...like with the record sales thing that was mentioned before. Also I don't think all the VH guys have been through rehab 4 or 5 times a piece. The last thing is Dave was wrong on you just can't pop Diamond Dave in and the sun comes up That's what happend on MWM and CGTSNM. The reason it went sour is because Edwad is an asshole......it was great hearing Dave getting back to basics on that record..that DLR Band record. I wish John 5 would have stayed in the band not sure what happend there but I'm glad he eventually found Brian. Brian kicks total ass. The only thing that sucks is Dave doesn't hardly play any of his solo stuff live and no deep CVH cuts. Where's the Sensible Shoes and Ladies Night In Buffalo? Where's Hear About It Later and Could This Be Magic? Dave's set could be so much more creative with some different song choices. He's got so many good ones.

Still waiting for DLR Band 2. Im hoping for that more than I hope for a CVH reunion.
I think DLR Band was one of Dave's best.
It was his last great album.
I would love to see him return to that style of rock.

The interview was cool as well.
