Dave was recording the follow up, to DLR Band, in late 1999, when, ED/Al were forced to reunite with Dave, or look for another record label! So I`m guessing the lyrics, from that unreleased record, were used during the 2000/2001 Van Halen sessions!

      There's the dilemma....

DLR Band was a great album, but with sub-par production. Basically it sounded like a great demo.

2003's "Diamond Dave" had excellent production, but it was all covers. Still not sure why Dave didn't record any originals with the great band he had (Brian/James/Toshi/Ray) at the time. Only thing that makes any sense is that he was saving his own tunes up for the "inevitable" Van HALEN reunion. And if that's the case..... where's the album?

Anyone who can, dig up the '99 Rantarock Finland one hour live concert...Dave's voice isn't the best it's been, but it's a top quality concert with a good selection of songs...and you can see me on the concert as well!
