I think his guitar is kind of a security blanket. He seems to latch onto one particular one for awhile and he seems to have it on or nearby.
If you think about it. Ed probably always was a wierdo but he always had Roth or Hagar to do most the talking so he didn't have to and from what I hear, Van Halen management and Valerie were very good and keeping the skeletons in the closet so to speak.
I'm trying to figure out that couch thing everyone is sitting on. Is that a big ass chair to the right or a huge high backed couch? Even Ed's house is wierd. LOL!
