I have nothing else. I'm leaving now to think of some good responses. Maybe even to learn how to spell the word, "Response". I have some friends who might know better than I as to how to handle myself amongst the grown-ups in this forum. They all graduated high school with me and picked on me a lot.
Bingo was her namo. Game set match I win again. I am the EXECUTIONEER. Everyone look at my latest victim BINNIE. MAKES ME SICK!
I think you should read back any number of threads we've clashed in and ask yourself really hard "why did I cross this guy"?
My particular favorite was your insistence today that Hagar-era sold more than Roth-era. Even when I told you that the official sales proved you wrong, you kept on spouting.
Then I added them up for you (basic maths too difficult for this one boys and girls) and it was CASE. FUCKING. CLOSED.
Just in case anybody (like a certain brain dead Stephen Harper sucking sheep) needed a reminder of the REALITY concerning Van HALEN vs Van Hagar record sales.......
..... and of course, those are 1996 numbers. The Van HALEN numbers have increased a lot since then. The Van Hagar numbers didn't. And it's notable how musicians overwhelmingly prefer Van HALEN to Van Hagar.
Even those who consider Spammy their friends.......

Does this ELLY person have to fight with DYLAN in THIS thread?
And who the hell is this DYLAN anyway?

That's a great fucking clip!
Makes me sad, though. Brings me back to the nostalgia of that summer of '96 when the music world seemed perfect...

Originally posted by binnie Dylan essentially comes into threads and proclaims the "greatness of Hagar", which starts the fights.....
He's fucking everywhere at the moment...
This is a pretty old idea.
He's gotta be an alias.

Hi, longtime reader but i never contributed to this board till today.
I have the complete VH-catalogue (except the BOBW-customer-fraud)but the Hagar version of VH gets no revolving time in my cd-player nowadays.
I got introduced to VH at the age of 14 by a buddy of mine when he handed me a tape of 1984.
The next thing i did was buying their debut album and i was very pleased with it. A few weeks later, in an inconsiderately moment, i
inadvertently scratched the cd which made it inaudibly from Eruption to Little Dreamer. It hadn't been so bad if it had been a van Hagar
record, but i didn't own one at that time.
What followed was intensive examination of the other 4 CVH records and DLR's solo records. Consequently i went to see DLR on the ALAE-tour at the Duesseldorf Phillipshalle in 1991. This show was my first real rock-concert ever and
the ticket was a worthwile investment.
To this day i still enjoy listening to CVH because in my mind there is still something to discover in their songs. When i say this, i think of all the little noises and effects(for example, i love the stereo effect in 'loss of control' played at max. volume on my stereo).
My longtime girlfriend isn't into VH's music that much (because of the emphasis on guitar, what should i say girl, it IS about guitar!) and she had (and still has) to endure my favor for CVH.
With the benefit of a few sport-cigarettes I made her watching the '82 Largo show with me(she found DLR's stage-clothes at that concert pretty clever ).
But it was easy to compensate that lack of interest by telling her all the little stories that go along with the band's history to this day.
Despite my favor for CVH, I went to a van Hagar concert when they played in Essen, Germany back in 1993. I thought it was a great show,
although Hagar brought the cheeso-meter to unknown heights during his solo spots. I remember being really surprised when they unexpectedly played 'Unchained' during that
gig. I later learned that this had to be one of the very few occasion that they played this song during that period of time.
Back to the topic.
5150,Ou81 and the other efforts were nice to listen to but it didn't rock as much as the original lineup. VH3 in my opinion, was a pretty much complete grasp in the toilet, although 'Once' is a good song, but not a
VH-song.
In summary:
What is lacking in VH's work since DLR's departure, is simpy charisma in the view of presentation and the aggressiveness of the sound. There was a quote of DLR regarding the van Hagar sound which contained something about drinking milk and buying a toyota and he spoke the truth.
I do not apologize for my rather lengthy remarks, because there seems to be no appropriate category on this board anymore to
introduce myself.
