They put out a second greatest hits album out of 3 releases and put Sammy singing 3 live Dave songs on it to spite Dave, and then kick Mike out and go tour with Dave to spite Mike. It just doesn't make sense to the common fan that just wants them to go out and play for God's sake.

Don't stick me with a newcomer, no matter who his parent's are, to make a point with another 50-something year old man. I'm sure he can play, but am I going to the concert to hear Mike put on a virtuoso performance? Hell no. I'm going to see Van Halen. And it ain't VH without Dave, Eddie, Alex, and Mike.

Well, if I'm taking Rolling Stone blogs and Billboard 'maybe...could be signed' as fact, then I guess Roth has rehearsed with the band, and Mike ain't gonna be there...

I see the point of if one regularly goes to see Roth solo then this lineup shouldn't be a problem, but I also don't pay $100 a pop to sit in the nosebleeds to see Roth solo, either...and I'm really not sure I'm willing to pay that to see 3/4s of Van Halen, either...

I still can't make up my fucking mind if I actually want to see this or not...

Not to mention a 15 year old with them is gonna make them look REAL FUCKIN OLD. My first EVER concert was 5150, was too young to see CVH, and always preferred Dave, always wanted to see Dave and Ed, but, I think this may be a pass. It just doesnt sit right, Mike has NEVER been a shit to anyone, unlike dysfunctional drama queens Shemp, Ed, Bette, and David Lee Pesci...and how the fuck will "Unchained" or "RWTD" sound without the tea kettle background vox? Its the PRINCIPLE. And it is DISHONOR. I always thought Dave had some integrity.Maybe not. HE holds the cards here, and he should hold out for the cat who was there in 76. Not pulling for the underdog (Mike) is weak, especially when Davey boy needs those backgrounds to help him out. AND Mike was the one who kept the most contact with Dave over the years, ON GOOD TERMS. To do this, Dave is slutting himself out the the VH girls. No thanks. Its not just Mikenot being there, its Dave being a WHORE. What kinda fan wants to pay to see that? Thats not how I want to see Dave.

The way i see it, when those guys were on tour togeither in 2004, u think mike knowing that ed and spam wasn't getting along, would have picked up on that, and laid it on the line with spammy, saying look dude we are buddies, but VH is my life.

No, what he did was choose fathead over VH, and then he goes and starts another band called the other half, trying to pose themselves as the other half of VH, more like the other half of a fucking donut.

Mike, from what is seems, just never called, stayed friends or anything with Ed or AL, and now his fat ass is gonna miss out on something that i think will be a kickass time. He chose his path, like it or not, but i would say he made the most critical error of his career.

Uh,Ed reduced him to a salary BEFORE the 2004 tour, after stringing along in limbo for four and a half years.SO FUCKING WHAT if he wanted to play out? Beats doing shit like a "Twister" soundtrack.What your not getting is what Mike did on the CVH 6. THOSE records are the band that made the songs on this upcoming tour.
