    No.

Dave doing those would still be bad.

Musically, they are the better Van Hagar tunes, however, they should not be played.

    Dave will NEVER sing them.

On top of that, despite a very rocking song, I'd be suprised if they even played Me Wise Magic.

The focus will be entirely on the six pack.

      No shit, Sherlock.

I seem to remember, though, that back when there were rumors around '96 involving Roth back in the band that Ed was insistent on Dave singing "some" Hagar tunes.

I'm just saying don't be surprised if Ed pulls some shit like this.

I'm crossing my fingers for the best.

As you said, it was a rumour.

IMO, Ed will not pull off shit like this because, as evident from the 04 tour, he sucked hard on the Van Hagar shit as if he didn't want to play it.

And we've all heard the story, Ed-Al and Wolife have been jamming CVH tunes, that is all.

If those who wanna hear Van Hagar, maybe they can catch the next Fat Fuck and Sauce Boy tour. :D

if Eddie REALLY wanted Van Hagar songs in the set, he'd insist that Bassplayer be on the tour, so he could sing them. Much like he sang "Somebody Get Me a Doctor" on the VDIII tour.

But even if that was the case, dragging out "Dreams" or "How Do I Know When It's Cheese" would KILL the entire vibe of the show. I could probably deal with a Sobolewski-fronted "5150" or "Judgment Day" while Dave's getting his dick sucked backstage by some groupie. But if Eddie or the kid start singing, I'll personally have to kick em off the stage....

Imagine, just imagine some of the lyrics from EEAS matched up with some of the riffs on 5150. I wonder if some of those songs on 5150 had totally different titles before Dave left.

There had to be some crossover there, "Good Enough" might have started out as an early version of "Yankee Rose", for example. "Summer Nights" was supposedly already a complete song with the title "Eat Thy Neighbor".

Musically, 5150 is obviously split between the rock songs and the cheesy shit. It's only obvious which ones were written after the Chedmaster stepped in.

Gonna be good to hear the dust brushed off those songs Van Haggar never played.AND to hear the ones Ronald butchered done the way they were intended.

I hope they play those. Not sure if there will be any room, though.

Maybe they can sing the original version that Dave wrote before the Sammy era. That would be a real treat.

Dave sings otyher people's songs... always has. Something tells me he won't be doing any of Sammy's songs though.

I think the setlist will be very similar to Roth's solo show, without the solo stuff obviously.

Exactly! I'd love to see a live version of "Eat Thy Neighbor". There has to be more where that came from.

Probably not going to happen, although the songs recorded in '96 I could see happening. And what about the stuff they recorded in 2000 or 2001? Didn't they have about 6 completed songs in the can?

I'd think it was something new.... I honestly don't know many Hagar songs...:D
