If Spam already sang it, I don't want to hear it. Why the fuck would we want to hear Summer Nights with Roth singing it? Doesn't matter what lyrics he is singing, I don't want to hear it.

This tour is about Dave and the 6 pack. Go ahead and play CGTSNM and MWM, but no fucking Ronald McDonald tunes. Save those for the tour with Spam in 2010 after Ed pisses away all the money from this tour.

So get ready, rev up the 6 pack, tailgate with some beer and steaks in the parking lot, and let the army come out in record numbers to hear Dave sing while meth head plays his guitar.

You've got a better chance of hearing Ozzy Osbourne sing Ronnie James Dio material.

      In other words...

      FORGET IT.

...and for the record, if you truly want to hear Dave sing Fat Fuck songs over stuff like House Of Pain or Lighting up the sky, I think there is a website you would really love... Journey.com or FatFuckSpam.com.

I don't want to hear Dave singing Fagar tunes. I want to hear unreleased stuff that they did.

What would 5150 have sounded like if Dave stayed?! Some of those songs would not only have different lyrics etc., they might have taken on different arrangements and become totally different with Dave's input. TOTALLY. So yes they would sound like "Summer Nights", "5150", etc., but they would be better. And we could get a chance to hear what almost was, and should have been a kick ass LP (5150).

The real question there is whether Dio will sing any Ozzy songs on this tour, since they are NOT calling it "Black Sabbath".

On that note, apparently the answer is no...straight Dio era only.

Fine by me, I can pass up hearing Iron Man for the 49,358th time...

                    Shit.....

If Dave sang Spammy songs I would lose some respect for the man.....

And that's saying something. Dave has made some "questionable" moves in his career.....

Some people say he's washed up, he can't sing...etc.

But I always back him because I think he's still got integrity.

If Dave takes this tour......with Wolfgang on bass.........singing Hagar "songs".......

It will smack of desperation. It will reek of weakness...

Double D getting owned by the sisters???? Say it aint so......

Musically, they are the better Van Hagar tunes, however, they should not be played.

                      Dave will NEVER sing them.

On top of that, despite a very rocking song, I'd be suprised if they even played Me Wise Magic.

The focus will be entirely on the six pack.

I don’t know what Dave would agree to at this point.
I am really surprised that he agrees on having the Kid playing bass, which it seems right now.
But Dave does not have the range in his voice to do any of the songs on 5150,
even fatty struggles on some of them.
And since Ed is in no shape to transpose I think we all can sit back and watch this shit hit the fan
without having to worry about Dave singing any Van Hagar tunes.

I think someone mentioned this once, maybe that is the agreed upon trade off, Edster won't push the McDonalds jingles, Dave gives the ok for The Wolf.

                        Yankee Rose anyone?

Well if not the unreleased stuff from the 5150 sessions, it would be cool to hear what they did 5 years ago. I wish they could do something new for this tour. What if they could match what they did in '96?

You know what would be funny as hell...

All four members walk offstage...five minutes later...

they walk back out...all with pillows in their stomach...and blond afro wigs...

then they play "Love Walks In..."

but change the lyrics to "Fat Walks In..."

                              that would be priceless....
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

Your on the right track, but for the encore they can come out dressed like Ronnie Mac, and before singing happy trails, yell out "I"m lovin it!"
