and if this tour goes well, mike and sammy will jopin the party for a stadium farewell tour next year.

Not to mention a lot of people are just over VH now and won't even consider a nostolgia trip for $100+ a head.

I think in most markets they would do well to sell out 8000-10000 seat venue
          Very valid point.

This may be the reason for the deliberate "leaks". I'm sure promoters are on edge and maybe they can survey fans reactions to the leaks from the internet websites and get a ball park figure of the percentage of fans who will come out to see this tour and from this, the promoters can determine how large or small the capacity of the venues should be to be sell out so they don't loose their ass ?

If these ticket prices end up being as high as we think they are, then .selling out 40 dates in venues of 20,000 + capacity might not happen.

It would do great sales, but perhaps not selling out in every single city

I hope that Van HALEN plays Madison Square Garden, and I will be there. They could easily sell out a few nights at MSG, in NYC.

As for the rest of bumbfuck America? Who knows.

I am sure I will catch them at the PNC, right here in NJ!! A philly date I most likely will attend as well.

In case you didn't know, this area, NJ/NYC/Philly is Dave country!!!

They should be able to sell out every show. And for what we know, Wolf might be really good on bass and improve the songs. Dave wouldn't sign on unless he was capable on bass.

I saw Dave live in '04, and he was in fine form! The song selection alone was worth every penny. That show did not disappoint!

I disagree. Wolfie might be just fine on bass, but Dave wouldnt refuse a reunion on that issue alone.

If Wolfie chokes, Dave will just shrug his shoulders and Eddie will have to answer for it.

And someone else, maybe MA, maybe not, would have to finish the tour.

One thing you gotta hand to Dave for sure.....I think the last 10 years, including failed attempts at a reunion, has him thinking he can deal with whatever Eddie and Alex throw at him -- which is probably why this is taking so long, making sure they dont screw him with terms and rules he is not going to put up with.

Well no one knows, 'cause no one has heard this new version of the band.
Good point though. What if he can't do it? They should have someone as a back up, in case the kid chokes.

That gig on the cover wasnt just their gig, it was a festival, I think Day on the Green. They were not the headliners.

If this reunion fails, Van Halen will be cheaper to hire than a mariachi band.

There are very few bands around today who could sell out stadiums repeatedly, that's the truth.

Personally I've always prefered in-door gigs, you get a better and louder sound...
