Why do so many fans want Michael Anthony in the lineup?

We all care about the quality and if there is non there, they will disappear off the face of this planet as they did in 1985.
It's about Dave and Ed together and possibly rebuilding the tarnish that has been applied to the Van Halen band name for me. I do think their best days are over.

I couldn't agree with you guys more cos in a perfect world, we'd not only get a full fledged "reunion" tour but a looooong awaited followup to the "1984" album as well.

Unfortunately and realistically, it's not happenin'.

However and mark my words, Hag's going to spend more time doing interviews to ANYONE who'll listen than the participants on this tour.

As far as what it will sound like goes, no one's heard jack shit yet. Maybe the kid has the pipes to go along with the bass playing? Maybe they have some hottie looking female backups or one hefty woman awaiting with a microphone at hand to handle said duties? Again, who the fuck knows?

At this point, you have all of these people dissing and sending back a potentially stellar, epic and satisfying meal before the fucker's even been cooked, let alone served...

I'll exclude most everyone on this site but fuck the lot of the other whinettes opinions regarding this venture cos they're the same miserable wabozos who've been more than happy to attend Van Halen shows minus Roth and now cry about Anthony's absence? These are the same "fans" who jerked off to Cherone and think The Other Half is Almost Halen...

Fucking CVH traitors is what they are. Call them what they are cos a spade's a spade. The Anthony thing's just an excuse, they're pissed cos Dave will negate both ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that Van Hagar ever did PERIOD!!! And it scares them shitless.

A clip like that's NOT a fair comparison. I mean the actual band was closer to Wolfgang's age during that stage of the game.

Again, I really doubt that the majority of people going to these shows are attending for the sole purpose of remembering Michael Anthony...

Nobody's going to give a shit about Anthony and more than likely, the "nostalgia" crowd will probably find WVH's presence both cute and kewl that he's up there with Papa San.

All I'm sayin' is people payed good money to sit through shit like "Live Without A Singer" and actually came back for more.

Pretty hard to come up with a fair comparison since the last example of DLR fronting was 1985. But I think you'd agree MA's performance/cuntribution to the band even through the dark years has been one of the few constants of the VH vibe.

It's even harder to judge what Teen Wolf will bring to this... if the ship sails.

I guess it's reasonable to withhold judgement until there's something to judge... it's all a crap shoot at this stage of conceptual mind fucking.

Could be just fine... could be a car with 3 full size tires and one of those wimpy sudo-spare tires limping along. I guess if the front end is aligned it'll go, if not... a wreck is in the making.

I dont trust Ed's judgment anymore. Dave couldn't have enough leverage with the 2 stooges to keep them from turning VH into an abomination of VH-hell, they've managed to do it several times.I dont want to see Dave's legacy tarnished with a VH-induced failure.That's my concern.

I trust Dave's judgement on Wolfie.

According to Rolling Stone, Dave sang 14 CVH tunes with the band in December. Reports say that "it sounded great and everyone got along fine."

And if he thought Wolf wasn't up to snuff, musically and even looks-wise (cause image is big in Dave's book as well), then he would've told Ed to fuck off long time ago.

Seems as though that didn't happen.
