More I think about it, the less I would have wanted to see Roth perform at the RnRHoF with anyone other than Ed, Al and Mike, anyway.
The whole point of interest far as Van Halen getting inducted into that bogus institution in the first place wasn't who was refusing to sit at which persons table, or any catty remarks during acceptance speeches, or any non-musical drama.
It was to see the members of CVH get up and play a tune or two.
With that option now off the table, the rest of it is meaningless.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

Yeah it would have been nice if he and Dave could get their collective shits together for this.
But you know he hasn't had his shit right for years.
The hole giving Dave the option to sing YRGM (only) w/ Velvet Revolver wasn't much of an option, or much of an actual VH SONG.
You know, I think I'm not that pissed, because I didn't expect much to begin with.
Porn music, drunk off his glutes @ NAMM's, calling his son the next great thing....then wants to jump out and tour when he can barely dress himself.
Timing sucks for us, but I think someone pulled him in the right direction just in time-he didn't have much left.
And he's shown he doesn't give a flying fuck about embarrassing himself or whatever bandmembers play with him.
He's never been completely sober. His grudges and ego are proof of that.Comment

Ed has a suspicious pattern of the timing of his health "problems":
-- Roth is back in 1996, but there's Ed's hip
-- Roth is back in 2000, but there's Ed's "cancer"
-- Roth is back in 2007, but there's Ed's rehab
Funny how despite all these "health problems," Ed was able to put out a record and tour with Gary Cherone in 1998, and tour with Hagar in 2004.
And yes, I think this is harsh. But at this point, Ed and Alex Van Halen have ZERO credibility.Comment
